his is the Atoll of Manuhangi you're buying, meaning the island is entirely yours, so there is no stores of any sorts, no companies of any sorts, no electricity nor gas, you have to make it all yourself...

though this is not really a problem because it can be arranged easily.

This is not just a piece of rock, it is a real full complete island written on the Map of the South Pacific rim wich you can own fully.

MANUHANGI atoll is situated at 144°19'06" W and 19°11'5" S. Its circumference is about 11 kilometres with a fringing reef of an average width of 60 metres and a maximum altitude of 6 metres. Surface of emerged land is more than 150 hectares plus the surface of the lagoon and the surface of the reef.

The island counts several houses with permanent structures with cisterns, a shed and a chapel.

Lagoon map of ManuhangiIt is free from any constraints to build any construction wished. Natural wells provide smooth water in addition with rain water. There is a ³ho¹a² (channel) that can be converted into a 20 metres wide and 3 metres deep fairway. Offshore, an anchorage is possible. A landing area is easily buildable.

The land part is planted with coconut palms, miki-miki and fara. The fauna mainly consists in coconut palm crabs and many species of birds.

Tahiti is served by numerous airlines from all major airports. There are regular flights between Tahiti and Hao airport (1.150 km) in less than two hours. Manuhangi is situated about 100 km away from Hao (a mere four hours boat crossing) where stands a Post office and other public services.

Many boats from Tahiti each week provide equipment, foods, and delivery. French Polynesia¹s 118 islands were all originally volcanoes that born some 20 million years ago. These islands either remained mountainous (the Society Islands and the Marquesas and Austral Islands), or they became atolls, like most of the Tuamotu Archipelago. Spread out over an ocean surface equivalent to that of Western Europe, these islands and atolls contain a population whose culture reflects both their isolation and their history. Before its discovery by Wallis in 1767, the old Poumotu (Tuamotu¹s inhabitants) used to call it ³manu hagi², which means ³the loving bird². It is a protected land, a paradise for all sorts of birds.

Now and then, a few families would come and stay only the time of a copra crop. While their parents were working, the littlie girls would collect ³POE PIPI², (wild oysters with a tiny natural pearl on the beach. They would use them as change to play shops. French Polynesia is located in the heart of the development of the 21st century: The Pacific zone.

French Polynesia has good economic basis and high performances in export, tourism, Š Schools provide skilled workers and managers. Health, communications, way of life, level of equipment are the same than in any big countries. French Polynesia helps investments with tax cuts and subsidies up to about 50% of the amount of the investment MANUHANGI is near Hao that the French Polynesia¹s government shall give soon a ³duty free port² status. That island will become a new centre of development in the South Pacific.

For some years now, the appellation ³Tahitian black pearl² has established itself as a leader, outstripping the Australian and Japanese products, as much by its quality as by its sale value. A recent study by EVAAM (Etablissement pour la Valorisation des Activités Aquacoles et Maritimes) concludes to the return on investment at 33% from the third year onwards.
