"Tourism Offices" and Visitors Bureau
     Alas, the subject of visitors bureaus on Tahiti is a reluctantly touchy subject for Tahiti Sun Travel...
Why is this?
     The reason is that the Tahiti Visitors Bureau (also called the Manava Visitors Center, or the Tahiti-Faa'a Airport Visitors bureau, etc.) has consistantly TOTALLY IGNORED and disregarded the Tahiti Sun Travel Network, even though we have been linking them in good faith now for over a year!
     We (Ian Robichaud) has met with the management of the visitors bureau several times and discussed the matter with them and agreed (face to face) that TST is NOT competition to them, but ACTUALLY HELPS THEM BY PROMOTING TOURISM IN FRENCH POLYNESIA! (the truth!).. but, for some reason, they are totally unresponsive to my pleas of a reciprocal link to ANY one of my websites, even though they have an extensive list of links and make the public statement on their homepage that they support all forms of promoting tourism in FP... (Does anyone agree that TST promotes tourism in French Polynesia?)

    I (Ian Robichaud), for one, can't figure their attitude out. On my last visit there in July, I once again met with management and they informed me that they were undergoing more management changes and for me to "check back"... (months later, still no reciprocal link or communication efforts from them.)

     Note here that Tahiti Sun Travel DOES have a good relationship and reciprocal link with the Tahiti Tourism Board, under the supervision of the chief executive of all Tahiti Tourism, Brigitte Vanizette, (and her co-worker Karen Villa), and uses their supplied Travel Planners for many of its listings and accuracy for businesses throughout the islands. Tahiti Tourisme understands the power and advantage of working together, and not as "competitors" as the Visitors Center seems to regard me as.

     If you need further clarifications of tourism material found in this website that we can't answer, TST recommends printing out our pages and bringing them to the tourist bureau on the island!
